Love It or List It
Kyla & Matt

Kyla and Matt purchased their over 130-year-old home 11 years ago with the hope of starting a family. The once empty rooms now hold their young daughter and twin sons. As their children have gotten older, Matt feels the space is becoming more and more dysfunctional. Their twin boys are currently sharing a bedroom, which works for now, but he doesn’t see it working further down the line, and the family of 5 shares the one very small bathroom on the second floor. Matt believes moving into a slightly bigger space is the best move for their family. Kyla has deep emotional ties to their community, as her neighbours rallied behind her and her family as she battled breast cancer. To her, it’s more than just a house, it holds all of their family memories – both good and bad – and she can’t imagine leaving. Kyla’s reluctance to budge on location gives David a run for his money and he must pull out all the stops finding a home that will be impressive enough to convince her to move. At the same time, the renovation takes a huge turn when Page is presented with a massive structural issue that no one could have ever predicted that will affect both their timeline, and their budget. Will these issues finally convince Kyla that maybe it is time to move on, or will Page’s re-design sway Matt to stay?
