Scott and Deb bought this house over twenty years ago when it was merely a set of contractor drawings. They have raised two children in it and now seek to create a lasting home for themselves as they transition into retirement. However, circumstances have shifted and instead of moving out after college, both of their children plan to return home. Deb believes this is the perfect time to downsize from their spacious family house to a more manageable space for them, but the kids can’t afford to move out on their own yet. Scott wants to renovate to accommodate the return of their adult children, while Deb feels that they should move. She asks David, our realtor, to find them a new home, possibly with a rental unit, laneway suite or a duplex for the kids. Scott, however, is confident that Page can adapt their current home to meet all their changing needs.
